As a Digital Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for technical expertise in the development andimplementation of digital systems for customer hardware used in a manufacturing environment, with anemphasis on cybersecurity, big data engineering and analytics.

You will also assist and provide technicalguidance to the software development team throughout the development lifecycle. This role requires strongtechnical skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of the latest industry trends inbig data and cybersecurity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities TECHNICAL WRITING Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation

for system architecture, design specifications, and operational procedures. Create clear and concise technical reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.

Create necessary training modules to educate customers with the relevant system configurations. Create, revise, maintain, and enforce system security policies. Explain the necessity of the policies to leadership. Uphold and maintain the QMS systems and documentation by updating SOPs, flowcharts, and desk procedures. Manage performance of direct reports and delegate QMS implementation activities as required. RESEARCH Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Investigate and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve system performance, security, and scalability.

Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in big data and cybersecurity. Find cost-effective ways to implement and maintain cybersecurity initiatives. Determine appropriate STIGs for government and commercial systems in secure spaces. OPERATE/OVERSEE Provide oversight and technical expertise in the development and implementation of customer systems, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and client requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create system designs, and develop detailed system plans.

Execute system plans and implement desired technologies into government and commercial systems. Identify and configure STIGs for internal and customer devices to comply with applicable security regulations. Manage your assigned project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery of customer systems. Identify and configure data pipelines and data ingestion tools to facilitate big data principles. Construct and secure data housing technologies most appropriate for customer needs. Design, justify, document, and implement NIST security controls. MONITOR Ensure the performance, reliability, and security of customer systems through continuous monitoring and proactive maintenance.

Establish performance metrics and benchmarks to evaluate system effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Monitor industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance in system design and implementation. SUPPORT Provide technical guidance and support to software development team throughout the development lifecycle. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to clients and operations. Provide technical guidance and support to the information technology team and assist with the implementation of organizational systems.

Participate in pre-sales activities, including proposal development and client presentations, as needed.
