explore their needs, strengths, interests, and capabilities. Together with participants, you create a personalized service plan, the Family Contract Amendment (FCA), outlining short and long-term employment goals aligned with their skills and preferences.
Regular meetings (at least once a month) track progress and ensure participants understand TANF and program requirements. You establish strong partnerships with external providers to connect participants with essential services and maintain meticulous record-keeping in Fedcap CARES. By requesting support services like childcare or transportation, you empower participants to meet their FCA requirements. You use data to plan tasks, reschedule
participants who miss appointments, and communicate effectively with medical and behavioral health providers.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAREER PLACEMENT - EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST As a Career Placement - Employment Specialist, you use your naturally warm demeanor to engage participants in our services and
establish trust and rapport. You also cultivate enduring relationships with employers and non-profits in the community to create ongoing volunteer and employment opportunities for our participants.
Considering each participant's vocational evaluation, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) work requirements, and needed accommodations, you find the perfect Work Experience Program (WEP) assignments and employment opportunities for them. You use our Fedcap CARES program to run reports, then use the data to plan daily and weekly tasks. You find jobs that align with the skills and interests of our participants and require at least thirty hours per week. You work closely with nonprofit partners and employers, always following up, answering questions, and mediating concerns to ensure they are satisfied with their volunteers or new hires.
Additionally, you facilitate Field Training and On-the-Job training (OJT) that leads to employment opportunities. As an expert in vocational rehabilitation, you plan hiring events, retention events, and on-site employer panels.
