MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience Must be 16 years of age or older and prior experience in the maintenance of parks or similar experience including some exposure to horticulture, landscape maintenance or a related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, abilities and skills listed below: Knowledge of the maintenance and repair procedures and techniques used in park or grounds maintenance. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, and the general public.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to safely operate various landscape maintenance and repair equipment and tools. Must have transportation to and from work and speak English. Must have excellent design, organizational and planning skills, and strong people skills. Must be a self-motivated, open minded problem solver that adapts readily to change. This is a hands-on position. Must have a valid drivers license. MENTAL AND PHYSICAL APPLICATIONS: Surroundings involve; Contact with outdoors, dust, dirt, heat, cold, arid/dry, humidity, wetness noise, fumes and vibrations.
Requires working with and around other employees. Occasionally requires working alone. Health and Safety conditions include; Constantly dealing with soil, water and plant materials. Occasionally dealing with toxic materials and chemicals. Physical activities include; Constant standing, kneeling, crouching, handling, balancing, turning, pushing, pulling, reaching and carrying. Occasionally requires the estimation of the size, quality, and quantity of objects, along with the speed of moving objects. Reports to: Guest Room Supervisor/Front Office Manager Supervises: None Interfaces with: Guests & associates PRIMARY JOB DUTIES Clean Hotel Corridors and vending areas, maintain in new condition Assist housekeepers by removing soiled linen and service ware Restock linen closets Drive hotel shuttle to various area attractions Properly follow all state, city & county driving laws Communicate effectively with hotel guests Inventory supplies and stock cart Clean lobby, offices, restrooms, hallways Report maintenance problems Empty trash Wipe, dust and polish furniture Polish / stainless steel Vacuum carpet Sweep, dust and mop floors Clean doors, frames, windows and ledges Clean elevators Clean mirrors
and pictures Restock supplies as needed (ie: toilet paper, soap, towels, etc.
