In addition to the previous, this individual would be responsible for the following: Researches and identifies new government, corporate, foundations and private funding prospects.
Conduct opportunity backssments and identifies funding opportunities and new program areas to match up college research priorities working closely under the direction of the associate dean for research. Engage as needed with program officers at organizations to solicit invitations to submit proposals. Works with
appropriate faculty to develop proposals to new government, corporate, foundations and private funding prospects. Develops proposals and supporting documents in response to solicitations ensuring timely submission of well-researched, well-written and well-documented grant/fund raising proposals coordinated with the appropriate researchers within the college and university.
Writes reports to government, corporate, foundations and other funding agencies as required. Act as liaison with faculty and staff for supporting documentation needed in the reports. Establish and maintain relationships with grant recipients and with local, state and federal agencies. Organizes and attends conferences,
forums, workshops, and other meetings as necessary to support proposal development within the college as it relates to large grants and initiatives.
Actively works with faculty members to develop education proposals and review proposals from CECAS Faculty. Build teams of faculty on large proposals. Assist with educational research program backssment on awarded grants. Qualifications: Ph D in Engineering or Computing is preferred. Expertise in the learning sciences with experience working with engineering and computing disciplines is preferred. Applicant must have experience in writing and submitting large research proposals to sponsors such as NSF and Do Ed among others.
