The Facilities Security Officers also aide in the development and upkeep of policies and procedures to address physical security and ATFP programs. Facilities Security Officer (FSO) duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Assigned to NSA Washington (NSAW) facilities to provide tailored security guidance and oversight. Maintain accreditation paperwork as levied by national authority and higher

headquarters, ensuring compliance with all DOD, IC, and NSA physical security standards. Conducting a variety of security surveys, to include: Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility Inspections, After Hours Inspections, Courtesy Office Compliance Inspections, Pre-Construction Sweeps, Classified and Unclassified Venue Surveys.

Providing security guidance and oversight for classified/unclassified conferences, expos and seminars involving issues of uncleared personnel, classified information and discussions, and the use of restricted/prohibited items. Administer the Alarm Outage Plan Response (AORP) for NSAW Facilities to include updating, managing, and disseminating Alarm Response

SOPs. Providing guidance to couriers, escorts, and Agency personnel hand carrying classified information and material between secure facilities at NSAW.

Assisting and advising NSA employees and assignees at NSAW and local off-site locations on matters concerning physical, personnel and procedural security. Accredit and certify Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) at NSA contractor facilities and provide administrative security support to classified Agency contracts through the review and processing of form DD254. Provide tailored program security support and oversight to ensure industry partners develop and maintain full-spectrum security programs to adequately protect some of NSA/CSS' most critical programs.

Develop and provide procedural security guidance and regulatory oversight of Industrial contractor activities, to include promoting reciprocity in Industrial Security Programs among IC and Do D partners and representing NSA interests at industrial community forums. Provide guidance and assistance to NSA's industrial partners to help them develop and maintain comprehensive, counterintelligence-driven, and cost effective security programs and facilities. Collaborate with all Security and Counterintelligence offices; proactively engage contractor officer representatives (CORs), program managers and industry partners to identify and resolve security issues utilizing a risk based approach; and exercise SCIF accreditation authority by articulating SCI security standards, reviewing and approving construction plans and developing solutions when full compliance with standards is not feasible.

Conduct thorough inspections of the security programs at each assigned company/industry partner to ensure compliance with DNI, DOD, and NSA standards. On a daily basis, FSOs research and provide answers to questions asked by NSA CORs and industrial partners regarding NSA security policy, S&CI business practices, and SCIF construction and maintenance.

There are periodic opportunities for travel to support conferences, off sites and supporting Agency operations. SKILLS The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a desire for continual learning and strong problem-solving, analytic, and interpersonal skills who is able to: Effectively communicate both orally and written; information management, organizational representation; and scheduling and time management. Has the ability to operate computer systems with a proficient knowledge of word processing software to include: MSWord, Excel and Power Point.

Conduct interviews within the context of an inspection, audit, or investigation. Gather evidence or information related to on-going audits, inspections, and investigations. Perform audits, inspections, and investigations in accordance with government regulations and make appropriate recommendations for improvement. Report results and findings from backssments, investigations, and evaluations to appropriate parties. Conduct risk backssments on affiliates, facilities, operations, or systems. Respond to and investigate incidents.

Salary Range: $78,592 - $122,459 (Full Performance). Salary ranges varies by qualifications and relevant experience to the position. On-the job training, Internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee.
