MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Utah POST Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) certification in good standing or be certifiable prior to date of employment Must be a United States citizen Must be at least 21 years of age Must possess a valid Utah driver's license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment Must be able to pass an in-depth background investigation COMPEN SATION: The pay range for full-time police officers is $30.99 - $46.79 pe r hou r, depending on experience, education, and certifications Previous years of experience and certifications will be considered when negotiating pay, at the discretion of the Chief of Police Shift differential is paid for the afternoon 2% and graves 5% BENEFITS: Medical, dental, vision, accident and life insurance City-paid short term and long term disability City paid retirement in the URS system 12.4% contribution to a retirement savings plan in lieu of social security Additional contribution made to 401k for officers in the Tier II Retirement System 96 hours of Sick Pay, 96 hours of Vacation Pay and 96 hours of Holiday Pay, per fiscal year Tuition reimbursement Employee membership (Ultimate) to Cottonwood Heights Rec Center Take-home car privileges All necessary uniforms and equipment provided by the department HOW TO APPLY: Applicants must submit an application to Cottonwood Heights via cottonwoodheightsut.
