As a Staff Industrial Security Officer , you are responsible for successfully developing and administrating security programs and procedures by managing the " day-to-day" security operations for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
Duties include leveraging your experience in security policy, facility protection, and risk management to ensure the security of our Programs. Overseeing multiple programs and implementing security policies, procedures, directives, and requirements. Communicating and coordinating
with Program Security Officers (PSO), as needed. Review Program material for proper classification and control, inventory and secure the material in accordance with protocols for the programs.
Maintaining familiarity with physical security standards for the construction and protection of the SCIF/SAPF as proscribed in ICD 705 & Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide (JSIG). Maintaining Operations Security (OPSEC) principles critical for protecting operational activities and security of the restricted spaces. Conducting and annotating entry/exit inspections to deter unauthorized removal of classified information in accordance with security policies. Ability to utilize Department
of Defense systems and applications, which may include: DISS, NISS (ISFD, OBMS, SWIFT, STEPP and e FCL), and ACCS.
Assisting with the preparation and coordination of DD Form 254's. This position is based in our Arlington, VA office. This position may require some travel to other program sites. This is an exempt non-supervisory full-time position. S Citizenship Required 8 years security experience with high school diploma; 6 years security experience with Bachelors. Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI and SAP access Experience in Do D, SCI, and SAP security policies, procedures, directives, and requirements. Strong knowledge of NISPOM, ICD, JSIG, Do DM 5200.01 & 5205.07 series, and the aspects specific to the execution of the Industrial Security Program.
Proficient knowledge of identified security domains - Collateral, SCI & SAP. Strong written and oral communication skills; Attention to detail Proficient to strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Excel). Ability to effectively multi-task to obtain objectives, Self-Starter requiring minimal supervision. Nice to have- Current Polygraph (Counterintelligence) DISS and NISS completion of training courses Completion of DCSA FSO training courses Completion of SCIF/SAPF buildout courses The salary range for this role is $90,000/yr to $105,000/yr; however, Arete considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to: the position and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
