River sub-basin is the largest single drainage system in Ohio at 8,095 square miles. Duties Perform grounds keeping including mowing and cleaning services of public use areas and operational areas. Perform flood cleanup operations at the reservoir to include cutting, stacking, and burning of flood debris and driftwood.
Read and record data pertaining to weather conditions, reservoir pool and stream elevations and reports data to higher graded employee. Operate a variety of tools, machinery and equipment in association with grounds keeping, mowing, cleaning, and maintenance activities. Perform various tasks in connection with connection with construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair
of buildings, structures, roads, grounds, utilities, and other facilities related to the operation and maintenance of the reservoir area. general laborers to assist on spray crews for the remainder of the 2018 spray season, which generally stretches into early to mid fall. Laborers will be trained to assist crews with all aspects of the herbicide application and maintenance of equipment. You will receive instruction on operating our state of the art equipment, and will also become familiarized with concepts of right of way herbicide applications and railroad operations.
Positions require extensive travel and during peak season most assignments will typically take multiple weeks to complete. While working on the road, company will provide lodging and also per diem reimbursement for meals and other travel expenses. In the
field, employees will work directly with railroad representatives and will learn to plan, schedule, and complete work safely and efficiently. Employees are also responsible for inspecting, servicing, and maintaining assigned RWC equipment to ensure its continued safe operation.
Ideal applicants possess basic math skills, are good communicators, and have strong problem solving skills. Laborers will regularly have to climb on and off equipment, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. A strong mechanical background is beneficial.
