This position is Temp-to-Hire with the goal to convert to permanent after 90 days. Primary Purpose: The Maintenance Coordinator plans equipment repairs, preventative maintenance (PMs), Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul (MROs) events and work orders; maintains critical spares, spare parts and consumables, and other duties as
needed. This position is administrative in nature, and supports the Maintenance Team and facility in maintaining, repairing, installing and overhauling of fabrication and production equipment used in the manufacturing of consumer pressure washers, generators and water pumps.
Duties and Responsibilities: A typical day may include any of the following: Using the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to plan maintenance events, manage maintenance work orders and logging unplanned events (i. e. breakdowns). Understanding the maintenance requirements; i. e. PMs (running and non-running PMs), MROs and Critical Spares of our various plant and fabrication equipment to effectively plan
maintenance event. Building MRO and PM plans and critical spare parts and consumable lists using the CMMS system per the equipment manufacturer's recommendations.
Sourcing and procurement of goods and services, raw materials, equipment, critical spare parts, consumables and supply inventories in maintenance shop. Generate Request for Quotations (RFQs) with suppliers and prospective suppliers. Generate, submit and follow up of Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs). Helping to ensure equipment uptime / availability metrics are met for manufacturing and facilities equipment by the planning of maintenance events and procurement of materials and labor.
Learn and understand the basic safe operation of our plant and fabrication equipment and shop tools, such as cutoff saw, drill press, bench grinder, hydraulic press, vertical band saw, arc welder, acetylene torch, and various other hand tools. Assisting in other areas of operation, as needed, to provide support during absences or shortages of staff. Qualifications: Required: High School diploma / GED. Commitment to all aspects of safety. Above average computer knowledge with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and other related processing programs, with the ability to learn new systems/tools quickly.
High sense of urgency and strong attention to detail. Basic understanding of Maintenance methodologies. Able to work collaboratively with different departments. Self-motivation and able to work independently. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred: Basic understanding of CMMS, ERP / MRP systems. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives. Forklift driving/operating experience is helpful, but not required.
