IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENACE CUSTODIAN & GROUNDSKEEPER As a Maintenance Custodian & Groundskeeper at o ur Camp Sherwin location in Lake City, PA, you are responsible to provide safe, clean, attractive and well-maintained facilities, vehicles and grounds, including preventative maintenance, and compliance with government agencies.
Work in a collaborative manner with the Metro Staff, Senior Property Manager, Program Directors and Volunteers to ensure facilities and project management standards and procedures are understood and fully accomplished. You are the eyes and ears of the camp property, providing security and safety to YMCA guests. With enthusiasm, you great campers and oversee the general upkeep and maintenance of the entire campground, including general maintenance such as heating, electrical, plumbing, outdoor pool and pond upkeep.
You organize staff and volunteers to complete groundskeeping and special projects. You are also conscientious about keeping training and records up to date and accurate and ensuring compliance with YMCA standards and government regulations.
