Duties Clean lead sulfate from cells during a cell rebuild project and manage as hazardous waste Change all filter cartridges and properly dispose of cartridges (hazardous waste and non-hazardous) Properly store and label universal waste Replace scrubber filter pads and Flexi rings when necessary Wash contaminated process equipment Provide preventive/predictive maintenance support for all plant equipment.
Respond to emergency work orders to service, troubleshoot and repair all facility equipment. Participate in all phases of cell rebuilds/repairs. Work adjusted schedule as necessary to minimize downtime
Responsible for maintaining a high standard of workmanship & housekeeping.
Participate in continuous improvement teams, assume responsibilities for various team roles as needed Adjust breaks/lunches etc. as necessary to complete jobs and return equipment to operating status Maintain & follow all proper safety practices & procedures Using relevant information & individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations or standards Follow all hazardous waste handling procedures as set forth in the procedures manual Other duties as required Requisite Skills, Experience and Education: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 years industrial maintenance experience, or, in industrial maintenance related technical field Valid Driver's License Previous maintenance or mechanical experience in piping repair, mechanical drive systems, welding, fabrication, large equipment maintenance, chemical operation maintenance, and machining and precision close tolerance work required The candidate must possess excellent communication and teamwork skills Must be a self-starter & work efficiently with minimal supervision The candidate must have a positive attitude, and be flexible to handle new situations & assignments Other Duties Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
