This position performs duties to maintain the city stormwater infrastructure, including but not limited to street sweeping, hydro vac & camera inspections.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (These examples are not all-inclusive) Operate heavy machinery such as: street sweeper, hydro-vac truck and camera truck. Maintain Public Stormwater Infrastructure, e. g. streets and parking areas, gutters, inlets, manholes, pipes, culverts detention/retention systems, drywells
and stormwater structures. Dig holes and trenches manually and with power equipment. Repair and construct stormwater systems. Operate snow removal and plowing equipment.
Operate a variety of equipment, e. g. loaders, excavators, haul vehicles, mowers, pumps, jack hammer, specialized equipment and hand and power tools. May perform a variety of construction tasks e. g. form and finish concrete, place and finish asphalt, place and lay pipe of all types, vegetation maintenance and other related duties. Document and maintain accurate records, including task performance. Inspect public and private development projects. Participate in on-call rotation, responding to after hour calls. A ny other
assigned responsibilities that would be required to maintain effective operations of the department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Level 1 High School Diploma or equivalent Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License with a good driving record and obtain a tanker endorsement within 3 months of hire. 1+ years' experience driving a sweeper truck preferred. 1+ years' experience driving a hydro-vac truck preferred. 1+ years' experience operating a camera truck is preferred. 1+ years' experience driving front loader/excavator and haul trucks preferred. Level 2 High School Diploma or equivalent Must possess a valid Utah Commercial Drivers' License with a good driving record and obtain a tanker endorsement within 3 months of hire.
2+ years' experience driving a sweeper truck required. 2+ years' experience driving a hydro-vac truck required. 2+ years' experience operating a camera truck is required. 2+ years' experience driving front loader/excavator and haul trucks required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Should be sufficient in a variety of construction skills such as: asphalt, concrete and laying of pipe. Ability to remain calm and professional in difficult situations. Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and some holidays when needed; schedule may vary on a weekly basis.
Positive attitude and ability to work with a variety of different people at various levels. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Lift Maintenance Level III candidate will help create a safe lift experience while delivering a dynamic and engaging experience for guests. Candidate uses his/her mechanical abilities to assist the Lift Maintenance Manager with all aspects of chairlift maintenance year-round.
Candidate will enjoy working outdoors and in extreme conditions. Organizes, trains, documents, and supervises the performance of other lift operators and maintenance crew. Lift Maintenance: Proficient in all level II duties and responsibilities. 1+ years of experience as level II or equivalent experience. Assists with maintenance shifts during operations. Assists Lift Maintenance Manager in seasonal maintenance of all lifts. Works with and assists Lift Maintenance Manager throughout all summer and seasonal maintenance seasons. Runs his/her own maintenance crew on any lift. Accurately performs lift maintenance without needing supervision. In the event that
the Lift Maintenance Manager is unavailable, fulfills duties as needed.
Furthers their knowledge of proper diagnosis and repair of all lifts and related equipment without the assistance of the Lift Maintenance Manager. Provide accurate up-to-date record keeping of completed maintenance. Comfortable working from heights while on lift towers and work carts. Utilize appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) for task. May pursue or be assigned other duties within Mountain Operations based on departmental needs and individual interests.
