custodial assistance as assigned out by the Custodian Supervisor. This position will require the individual to learn multiple building layouts and cleaning assignments of their peers. In addition, the individual will be responsible for supporting the Floor Care Program, and other misc.
cleaning projects as needed. This will require someone with a willingness to learn, strong attention to detail and flexibility. Prior custodial experience is preferred, but not required. Duties to Support Responsibility: Clean and disinfect bathrooms, urinals, wash basins, drinking fountains periodically through-out the day. Clean and de-lime chrome and stainless steel. Clean and refill dispensers. Clean
door glass, mirrors, windows, elevator tracks, vents, blinds, and/or whiteboards, etc. Wash walls, doors and partitions. Dust/wash/polish furniture, handrails and flat surfaces.
Empty and clean waste/recycle containers. Remove trash/recycling from building to outside dumpsters. Sweep/dust mop/wet mop floors, steps and landings. Vacuum carpeting and mats. Move furniture as needed. Provide light maintenance if needed. Support other seasonal tasks as needed. Operate various cleaning equipment. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Required Qualifications: Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds at waist level on a regular basis. Must be able to work with hands and arms
above shoulder level; requires considerable movement of the arms, twisting and bending of the back.
Must have sufficient physical strength and flexibility to lift and to remove garbage, trash, and recycling from the buildings. Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit to perform essential job functions for the duration of the shift. Ability to observe and react to hazards and changing conditions in the work environment (e. g. wet floors, broken glass or other person in need of assistance, etc. ) Ability to read work instructions and schedules, warning signs, and labels. Knowledge of basic safety precautions including use of caustic and toxic chemicals, methods of lifting heavy objects, safe work clothing and coverings, and the use of personal protection equipment.
Work in a safety conscious environment. Ability to operate and maintain a variety of cleaning and sanitation equipment. Adhere to sanitation/hygiene standards. Accuracy/detail oriented/flexibility. Ability to retain and carry out multiple work assignment. Basic math aptitude. Ability to self-motivate and carry out daily tasks with minimal supervision or as a team. Ability and willingness to learn, maintain the use of computer software and e-mail functions. Must have a valid driver’s license, as this position will be traveling to various office buildings throughout the campus, as well as our Kid’s Learning Center and Satellite building.
Uniforms will be provided. Work Schedule: Sunday, 3:30pm to 11:30pm / Monday through Thursday 4:30pm to 12:30am or Monday through Friday, 5:30pm to 1:30am Starting Pay: $19.50/HR - $2.00/HR premium pay for 2nd shift, and $2.00/HR premium pay for weekends Kwik Trip, Inc.
