Add, remove, replace, modify equipment related components including electrical, electronic chemical, magnetic, pneumatic, hydraulic, sonic, optical equipment. Analyze equipment, circuitry, diagnose troubles, repair, adjust, modify, service all types of electronic devices and systems including communication computing and control systems, utilizing various measuring, testing instruments, electronic analyzing equipment.
Perform necessary mechanical assembly, disassembly of any or all components. Perform necessary soldering and brazing. Perform routine maintenance on equipment including overhaul, cleaning, lubrication, testing. Operate machine tool equipment and related equipment under test
conditions. Maintain files of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, schematic, wiring and piping diagrams, manuals, records charts, graphs and make necessary changes.
Perform normal electrical plant maintenance work as required. Make all necessary forms, reports, sketches, drawings and parts lists. Plan, install, test and troubleshoot electrical power distribution systems. Instruct or direct 1 or 2 other maintenance employees in above. Miscellaneous duties as assigned. COMPLEXITY AND JUDGMENT: Maintains and modifies, as needed, all plant and production mechanical, electrical and electronic control equipment including related pneumatic, magnetic, hydraulic, optic, sonic =, chemical components
and controls. EDUCATION: A wide range of mechanical, electrical and electronic testing and analyzing equipment including voltmeter, gauges, brush recorder, viscosimeter, oscilloscope, digital counter, transducer, tube and transistor checker, galvanometers, optical comparator, leak detector, interferometer, stroboscope, thermocouples, capacitance leak tester, vibrational and dynamic tester, harmonic analyzer, digital voltmeter, flow meter, electronic, sonic, pneumatic, hydraulic, optical, chemical comparator or control testing machine, mobile personnel lifting equipment.
EXPERIENCE : ( IN ADDITION TO TRAINING SPECIFIED ABOVE) Five years of maintenance experience on a variety of plant electro-mechanical and electronic equipment.
INITIATIVE: Must display a degree of initiative toward the preventative maintenance of the plant and equipment. ERRORS: Errors could result in damage of expensive equipment manufacturers technical service personnel. CONTACTS: Frequent phone and on-the-job contact with equipment manufacturers technical service personnel. PHYSICAL DEMAND: Moderate. WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to foundry atmosphere, noise, electrical hazards.
