Candidates must meet requirements within 30 days after the last date for filing applications. 1. CIVIL SERVICE STATUS : Presently employed by the City of Philadelphia with permanent Civil Service status and a Performance Rating of Satisfactory or higher. AND 2. engineering aide experience. AND 4. SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE : Two years of experience as an Engineering Aide 2 in the area of specialization.
NOTE 1: Successful completion of one year of construction technology, engineering, surveying, industrial, architectural or mechanical drafting training at an accredited college, university, vocational or technical institute may be substituted for the General Experience requirement. NOTE 2: Possession of the Construction Management Certificate issued by the City of Philadelphia demonstrating successful completion of the Street's Department 10-course Construction Management Certificate Program may be substituted for the General Experience.
Physical & Medical Requirements Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required of a position in this class. Required Licenses & Certifications Possession of a valid proper class motor vehicle operator's license as issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to and during tenure of employment as an Engineering Aide 3, if required by work assignment.
