PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in the development of products that enable growth by conducting internal and external tests/trials. Provides knowledge and assistance to Product Development department on new raw material and product investigations as assigned.
Provides required support to the Quality department on specific projects and investigations including product complaints, material issues and manufacturing issues. Liaise with manufacturing to implement new raw materials and products for production as required. Assists department with material property testing, procedures, and documentation, and other duties
as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field is required. Should have knowledge of, or experience with chemistry, ceramics materials, refractories, or polymers.
Must have proven relevant experience of two or more years in a related field. Must have excellent verbal & written communications skills. Must possess the ability to manage multiple deadlines with a high level of accuracy. Must perform duties with a positive attitude, high level of accountability, personal drive, ambition, and integrity. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The daily routine will consist mostly of technical work with exposure to the production and laboratory environment, which may have some abnormal
variations in temperature, unavoidable fumes, noise, and atmospheric conditions.
Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including a respirator, must be worn in designated areas. The individual must possess the ability to perform light physical activity, which includes occasionally lifting up to 55 lbs. standing, walking up the stairs, sitting, manual dexterity, repetitive hand, and finger motion. The physical demands described are representative of those an individual must possess to successfully perform the duties of this job.
