Duties Maintain strong technical knowledge and experience in geomatics discipline and of survey practices, procedures, industry standards, and emerging survey practices and technologies.

Lead the activities of employees engaged in the inspection of contractor's field operations and in the performance of technical and administrative office work. Engage in field activities which includes surveillance, inspection, and coordination of survey contractor field operations, and office activities. Complete job estimates, processing delivery orders, evaluation of

work reports, and processing requests for payment. Exercise significant latitude in crew assignments and crew positioning as required to accomplish surveying job assignments.

Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Incumbent may be required to travel (TDY) up to 20% or less each year. Medical/Drug/Physical test is required on a regular basis for this position. Appointment to this position may be subject to a one-year probationary period. Possess or obtain and maintain a valid USACE Boat Operators license or U. S. Coast Guard License within six months of appointment.

Possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License.

This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
