The Environmental Engineering and
Consulting team delivers solutions for complex environmental challenges using our regulatory expertise and implementing practical and cost-effective compliance management processes and programs.
We address our clients' biggest concerns around permitting, ecoservices, backssment, and remediation. Our highly trained and experienced engineers and scientists, environmental and remediation specialists, geologists, hydrogeologists, biologists, and environmental compliance specialists work with both public- and private-sector clients, delivering turnkey solutions. A DAY IN THE LIFEThe Project Engineer serves as a Project Manager or Task Manager for environmental projects related to engineering,
water quality, stormwater management, and/or groundwater and soil backssment and remediation.
The qualified applicant will be able to work within a team environment and be capable of managing others to complete tasks or projects. Prior experience with petroleum site backssment and remediation is desired. The Project Engineer may direct supporting staff and will execute projects as assigned using applicable tools and skills to develop, implement, and maintain management plans and procedures for our clients to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations. The position will be required to conduct fieldwork and calculations, prepare permits and regulatory documents, and prepare other environmental plans and reports.
As a key member of the Engineering team, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including: Works effectively, both independently and in a team setting Conducts field work at client sites to collect data Leads data collection efforts and research of projects as requested by project managers Prepares environmental compliance documents, permits, plans, and procedures Knowledgeable of regulatory standards in environmental technical areas Interacts with customers and clients Maintains confidentiality at all times Exercises safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations, including attendance at all required safety training programs Participates in the company's continuous improvement programs and provides support to team efforts Keeps up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing professional publications, and attending professional workshops Performs other duties as assigned YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLSTo perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering (preferably civil, environmental, or chemical) or related technical field from an accredited four-year college or university Strong oral and written communication skills Strong time management skills with the ability to work well under pressure with multiple deadlines Organizational skills and attention to detail Working knowledge of business software (Microsoft Office, Outlook) 1-5 years of environmental engineering experience with industrial, municipal, state, and federal clientele.
License or ability to obtain a license as a Professional Engineer within two years is preferred.
