plant representatives, test laboratory, and other organizations Coordinate or support project planning activities for schedule, resources and cost Coordinate or support project, product (such as Design for Cost), and manufacturing cost analysis Conduct Functional and Requirements Analysis, FMEA and project risk analysis, and build product specifications.

Analyze research data and proposed product specifications to help determine feasibility of product proposal. Perform R&D functions in selecting new applications, materials, manufacturing methods, finishes etc. Perform analytical mechanical calculation (stresses, strain, failure, deformation.) Help to coordinate manufacturing and

validation of prototype product. Plan and develop experimental test programs. Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.

Provide support to manufacturing plant activities, which may include product qualification, problem solving analysis, stack up analysis, documentation updates and other communications Interacts and assists general product engineering in development and qualification. Confers with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develops design. Interacts with customers, participates and assists customers in issuing new standards for developed new products. Assists in answering to customer Requests

for Information, proposals or technical meetings. Update legacy drawings and specifications for aerospace components Interacts with the FEA simulation team for digital prototypes and digital mechanical testing Schedule: M to Friday 8 am to 5 pm.

The ideal R&D Design Engineer I candidate will have: B. S. Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from a four year college or technical school or equivalent combination of experience or related education. Over 5 years related experience and/or training is required. Proficient with 3D modeling in CAD System (Solid Works is preferred) Proficient with GD&T Self-motivated team player with strong desire to learn and ability to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently and with minimal guidance Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus Project management experience on large scale projects is a plus.

Design experience for plastic injection molded parts and assemblies a plus.
