Guide the business and IT on technical and functional alternatives for platform and application monitoring platforms by clearly articulating and documenting the implications of each, short and long term, solution in a technical document. Design, develop, and modify platform and application
monitoring platforms, platform and application monitoring controls, and subsequent monitoring and governance of their implementation. Participate in business and platform planning sessions and anticipate future business and technical changes, limitations, and strategies.
Identify and communicate business, application, and technical risks associated with component or platform implementation at the technical level and enterprise level with Enterprise Architect. Work with Enterprise and Platform Architects to ensure technical and feature requirements are considered during technical design. Work with the Solution Assurance Lead to communicate the platform strategy and vision and facilitate
platform review meetings with the platform stakeholders. Develop analysis and monitoring tools to evaluate existing and future business needs for performance, availability, and compatibility and SLA with TJX standards and vision.
Responsible for joint ownership of 3+ platform and application monitoring, and related roadmaps and technology lifecycle management in the supported delivery teams. Develop and maintain key metrics for platform and application monitoring platforms and stream the metrics into enterprise dashboarding tools to provide quality of service measures and utilize them for continuous improvement of platforms. Ensure the platform and application monitoring platforms are continuously updated, upgraded, and meet the SLA for any security vulnerability remediations to meet the standards for TJX.
Lead all the integrations of platform and application monitoring platforms with all the required enterprise tools utilized in TJX and ensure these integrations meet the performance, compliance, and security standards defined in TJX standards. Provide technical subject matter and insight related to the business applications in each technical domain. Fully owns epics with decreasing guidance. Take initiative through identifying gaps and opportunities.
Help onboard and mentor new hires. Mentor other engineers on the team. Support Talent Acquisition process by performing technical interviews for hiring. Learn Dev Ops practices. Act in Lead Engineer capacity for medium to large initiatives, prioritizing and assigning tasks, providing guidance, and resolving issues. Lead discussions on design approaches to solving visible, strategic, and complex business problems. Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley compliance and all TJX Company standards as applicable. Lead evaluation of 3rd party engagement need and SOW review process. Identify emerging technologies for consideration for new technology direction and implements proof of concepts to prove the new technology.
Position is fixed location based in Marlborough office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed Job Requirements : Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any field) or a directly related field plus eight (8) years in an IT role or related occupation. Qualifications: 2 or more years of experience in a field service role or technical support function within the Electro-Mechanical Technology space or relevant military or business experience. A Bachelor's in an engineering discipline strongly preferred. Electro-mechanical expertise, including assembly, troubleshooting, and repair. Metrology experience is a plus. Customer service background a plus. Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment a definite plus. Valid driver's license required. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. (less than 10% of the time) required.
