Job Description The BD Medical - Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) Design and Development (D&D) team is seeking a highly talented and passionate individual to identify innovative solutions to address current and future health care needs. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert in one

or more technical areas. These areas include: Requirements Management, Sysm L, MBSE, Design Controls, Medical Device Development. The successful candidate is driven and a self-starter with demonstrated successful commercialization of products in their background Accountabilities The associate is an expert in systems engineering, more specifically the associate shall be well versed in developing requirements and specifications for medical devices and have prior expertise using Model Based Systems Engineering.

The associate shall have a solid understanding of 1st principles, engineering physics, trade-off analysis to evaluate different concepts, designs, and requirements. The associate

can communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, effectively bridges functional and organizational gaps and manages effective escalation of critical issues when needed.

The associate is responsible for the delivery of business unit goals that contribute to the objectives of BD annual strategic review. The associate is externally focused with active participation in industry organizations and contributes through participation in conferences and publications. The associate autonomously leads the planning and execution of technical project work. He/She also models and coaches best practices in technical documentation The associate resolves complex technical challenges and proposes creative solutions.

The associate is deeply knowledgeable of design control and leverages the flexibility within Lead Design control to maximize efficiency. EXPERIENCE B. S. 10+ years of experience in technical area M. S. 5+ years of experience in technical area Ph. D. 3+ years of experience in technical area SKILLS Sound knowledge of engineering first principles. Strong technical judgment and technical leadership skills. Strong project management, prioritizing and multi-tasking skills to work within tight deadlines. Experience implementing Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies.

Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Ability to effectively and clearly communicate concepts, ideas and knowledge to other individuals and teams. Experience in directing associates and leading small cross-functional groups is required. Disciplined phase-gate product development processes & project planning. Knowledge of Six Sigma (DMAIC) practices, and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies. Strong creative, analytical and problem solving skills required. Good written & verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to utilize linear/non-linear statistics and DOE methodologies (Minitab).
