The Operations Engineer manages day to day operations, moc documentation and implementation, pre-project planning, and project execution. Responsibilities: Serves as a lead site technical resource for all process systems with some involvement with piping, stationary equipment, and rotating equipment Leads efforts to ensure site practices & documentation are in compliance with PSM Mechanical Integrity standards Assists site Engineers and Inspectors with planning, scheduling, execution, and documentation of stationary equipment and piping inspections Works with site maintenance team, inspectors,

and contractors to ensure repairs are performed according to specifications and properly documented Develops, reviews & updates management of change, site maintenance and mechanical integrity procedures Leads troubleshooting efforts related to equipment issues onsite and documents findings Provides technical support for emergency maintenance work off-hours as needed Assists in the specification and review of new equipment prior to purchase and recommends proper selections Designs & implements predictive & preventive maintenance programs for critical equipment Assists the maintenance department with planning of site turnarounds, shutdowns, and special projects.

Provides input with regards

to schedule, development of job lists, sequencing of jobs around a critical path, and sizing of work crews based on job estimation Effectively communicates operations, process or management of change related concerns to management and other affected personnel WHO WE NEED: Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school, preferably Chemical Engineering Minimum of 3-4 years engineering experience in a chemical plant or refinery is preferred Solid working knowledge of process equipment and instrumentation, piping systems design and maintenance, pressure vessel specifications and maintenance, inspection techniques, and manpower coordination Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in basic computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite, Avanti's, or other CMMS Knowledge of industrial codes & standards (API, ASME, ANSI, OSHA, State) WHO WE ARE: Founded in 1987, Sigma is a professional multi-discipline engineering and design company that serves the petrochemical, fertilizer, and refining industries.
