Position Description As an Optical Engineer, you will conduct engineering research, design, analytical tasks, and optical system alignments & testing supporting a broad range of novel optical programs. You will develop and use skills in optical design, analysis, assembly,

alignment, and testing. You will be responsible for operating highly technical experimental apparatus.

Requirements A broad optical engineering education, with course work in geometrical and physical optics, with a familiarity of optical component fabrication, system alignment and testing. A working knowledge of Zemax or Code V optical design software You should demonstrate experience working in multi-disciplinary teams, excellent communication skills, and the ability to produce and present professional written and oral reports. BS, or MS in Optical Engineering/Optical Sciences or equivalent Entry Level BS graduates should have a GPA > 3.3 All employees at Lincoln Laboratory are required to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which requires U.
