efficient manner.
Effectively supervising staff in accordance with standards by proper planning, allocation of workforce, equipment, materials, and contract administration.
What You'll Do Manages the activities of assigned staff including safety, training, and productivity to ensure compliance of work standards. Develops, prepares and manages O&M and capital budgets. Directs or supervises the use of schedules, procedures and standards for improved economy, reliability and safety of plant operation and maintenance. Supervises work in progress. Monitors facility daily to ensure reliable performance, efficiency and productivity of personnel and equipment.
Responsible for understanding and applying the provisions of the union contract and SRP policies. Manages outages and outage related work processes including: scope, planning, resources, materials, budget and procurement activities. What It Takes To Succeed For those individuals with an Engineering, Business or Technical Degree: A minimum of five years at the Senior Level of their professional job family, with experience in supervision, project management or demonstrated team leadership as determined by plant management. For those individuals who have progressed through the Technical Training, Apprenticeship or Operations Specialist Training Track: A minimum of five years in a Journeyman or Operations Specialist classification plus a minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership, including supervision.
Candidates must possess the knowledge and ability to interface at all levels of the organization through delegation, supervision, coordination and empowerment. Such knowledge and ability may be gained through internal corporate training opportunities, college level courses in management principals and human relations, or other external educational opportunities to include but not limited to supervisory, management or military leadership seminars and conferences.
Supervisory experience in operations, maintenance, environmental, chemical, support operations or engineering. Demonstrated knowledge of boilers, turbines, generator, scrubbers and associated plant equipment. Must have a thorough knowledge of company policies, labor agreement, safety procedures and environmental regulations. Ability to work effectively under pressure while working with others, proven ability to solve problems relating to the generation of electrical energy. Strong demonstrated human relations, organization and managerial skills.

Additional Information EDUCATION Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Business or other Technical Degree appropriate for the assignment from an accredited institution. Alternatively, completion of a comprehensive Technical Training Program, Apprenticeship or Operations Specialist (OS) Training Track relevant to power plants. WORK SCHEDULE This position is not a hybrid role and requires that the employee be on-site during the work week, with the ability to split time between SRP's Coolidge & Desert Basin Generation Stations.
In addition, employee must be willing to be available via phone during off hours for support and may be required to fill-in at times for team members due to illness, vacation, etc. Hybrid Workplace SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
