The Role The Lead Information Security Engineer is a member of the Government Services Information Security team that is responsible for providing oversight and delivering Information Technology (IT) services and coordinating with Information Assurance (IA) personnel to ensure compliance with corporate and/or government policy, standards, procedures and industry best practices.

The Lead Engineer is responsible for providing oversight and thedevelopment and maintainment ofprogram networks while working with the IA personnel and system owner to ensure the systems comply with applicable government policies.

The Lead. Engineer will also be responsible for supporting equipment hosted on corporate network. The Main Responsibilities Responsible for Operations and Maintenance of Windows based Systems to include servers workstations, thin clients and printers Procure, Install, Maintain, and Secure Windows based Systems with various roles while maintaining security compliance standards Servers include physical and virtual Domain Controllers, File servers, Print servers,

Exchange, Backup, Remote Desktop, Share Point, NAS, Database and Hyper-V Responsible for Operations and Maintenance of DNS, DHCP, DFS WSUS, System Imaging, IIS among other Windows and Microsoft related management software Configure and maintain file shares Create and maintain Active Directory and Exchange accounts Server performance Monitoring Plan and implement upgrades to Windows systems and related software Responsible for managing, monitoring & verifying backup jobs, Disaster recovery efforts, Ensure proactive Antivirus measures are being applied in a timely manner Maintain systems in accordance with system security plans, Implement new security requirements as required via Group Policy and Patching Responsible for vulnerability backssment, compliance scanning and mitigation using tools such as SCAP, STIG Viewer, Nessus among others Troubleshoot user, server and network issues Windows OS, MS Office and other software, hardware issues, profile issues, IP related issues, etc.

Maintain network printers New software evaluation Data Transfer Officer for information systems Maintain PBX and VM Firewall & VPN maintenance Network switch management What We Look For in a Candidate 5+ years of relevant system administration, user support and security control implementation work experience.

Undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. Considered expert in one (or more) of the following areas: Networking, Operating System (MS/Unix/Linux), Security hardening. Self-starter with strong self-management skills, with an ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Ability to apply professional judgment in critical thinking and problem solving. Team oriented Active TS/SCI with current SSBI Security Clearance is required and a Polygraph will be Required if not current.
