The Staff Business Excellence Engineer is responsible for the improvement of one or more operations or areas that impact the performance measures of the company. The Staff Business Excellence Engineer must have a clear understanding of the strategies of the plant and must be capable of translating these strategies into measurable goals. The responsibilities

will include establishing the bases or current condition, communicate / lead improvement projects from establish the strategic plant up to the implementation, systematization of the improvement of the performance measure and compare the result with the world-class standards.

For that, the title holder must become an expert in the use of JJPS tools, six sigma, lean manufacturing system, must possess knowledge about product costs, must have experience in manufacturing and the vision of the business. Under general direction and in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position: Is responsible

for the analysis and development of a strategic plan for the area or process in which this person is involved, including the chain supply, and for establishing short term and long-term goals.

Is ensuring that the goals of their projects are aligned with the strategic plan of the plant. Is responsible for updating the performance measure system. Coordinates the training about the system and change for the people involved in the different areas, such as manufacturing, supply chain, materials, etc. Updating and advising the Plant Management about the results. Coordinates meetings periodically to present the improvement, possible problems and status of each project.

Maintain open and effective communication with other project leaders within the plant and in other plants. Will be evaluated about the obtained results, the time and impact in the performance measures of the manufacturing processes. Understanding of the Quality procedures, safety, environment, and ergonomics aspects that are necessary to stay in sync with or implement during the project (GMPs, ISO, FDA, Internal Policies, etc. ). Responsible for ensuring the compliance, personal and of the company, with all the regulations, policies and procedures though its processes, including Health, Safety, Environment and Ergonomics.

Maintains optimal communication with the other departments associated to obtain the biggest advantage of the improvements in the processes. Communicates goals and objectives between departments to ensure that the business is kept focused towards on the final strategy. Represents operations in the allocated projects in other areas or plants. Provide support to the deployment of the JJPS, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing initiatives, certifications and recertifications. Supervision responsibilities: Can supervise, coordinate, and technically check the work of the engineering technicians of Operational Excellence, estimates human resources needs, programs, and allocates work to align with the delivery dates.

As a Process Excellence Engineer Staff, they can be supported by other engineers, technicians. The identification analysis and improvement plans through lean principles & Identify and manage improvement cost opportunities. Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable Ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Performs other relevant duties assigned as needed. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Completed bachelor's in engineering, any specialization. Recommendable, master's or equivalent experience in science. Generally, Requires 6-8 years' work experience in supervision, administration, and project direction. Experience in medical products, and technical studies, preferably.

Process Excellence: (SPC and DMAIC), knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, strategies development, Black Belt certification (can be candidate to be certified as Master Black Belt). Knowledge of materials systems, inventories, and supply chain. Experience in different areas of the plant. Ability to establish PE (Six Sigma and lean manufacturing) as part of the culture in the organization. Experience as change agent.
