AFS is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer/Technical Leader to provide expertise to the entire team in areas related to Cloud best practices, system engineering, and Cloud security. This contributor will be a mentor to a high performing team, a contributor to the overall capability and a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Power Shell DSC, Ansible, Azure Automation, and other related products to support the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Additionally, this contributor will take part in the overall planning, delivery and day to day management of the entire capability utilizing the Scrum Framework. Responsibilities
Include: Engineer unique solutions to support production ready Enterprise Services, and Cyber Defensive Operations. Review and automate workload deployments with customer site specific requirements.
Design, develop, and build automated CI/CD pipelines to deliver solutions. Provide mentorship and leadership to a team of skilled individuals, uniting them to accomplish the mission. Review current processes implemented in the build for current capability with the intent to recommend improvements and build efficiencies. Collaborate with other teams to remove blockers and increase efficiencies. Analyze reports from ISSM/ISSO to recommend intelligent solutions to improve the security footprint
of the overall capability. Provide cybersecurity recommendations to the ISSM based on significant threats and vulnerabilities.
Plan and recommend modifications or adjustments based on exercise results. Here’s What You Need: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field AND 3+ years of relevant experience; OR, in lieu of a degree, 6+ years of relevant experience. Satisfaction of 8570 IAT II requirements (typically Security+ or greater). Willingness to travel (CONUS) 25 - 50%. Willingness to work onsite (neither remote not hybrid arrangements are possible with this role). Bonus Points If You Have: 3+ years leadership experience in relevant area.
