Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve manufacturing processes or products or to reduce costs, using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts.

Determine root causes of failures or recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods, using statistical procedures. Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Foreign equivalents accepted. 5 years experience in a Mechanical/Manufacturing

Engineering or related occupation in quality assurance or engineering. Must include some experience with: - Communicating manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, reports summarizing trends or other information to management.

- Estimating costs, production times, or staffing requirements for new designs. - Performing Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), 5 Why, and Root Cause Analysis. - Recommending changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods, using statistical procedures. - Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. - Preparing documentation for new manufacturing processes or engineering procedures including process flow maps, value stream maps, control plans and

5S methodology. - Lean / Six-Sigma DMAIC process.
