for a dedicated Project Manager to join our Water Systems Engineering Department. If you have a proven track record in meticulously reviewing design plans, evaluating specifications, and managing projects related to water and sewer systems, we want to hear from you!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in reviewing and managing water and sewer pipeline and pumping station design plans prepared by consultants at our client's facility located in the Baltimore area, as an embedded staff. You will be responsible for: Reviewing and managing the design and rehabilitation of water and sewers pumping stations and related projects. Evaluating and approving
plans, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications. Applying for and obtaining environmental permits. Managing project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
Provide construction administration services. Developing consultant agreements and analyzing consultant proposals. Identifying and resolving design-related challenges, drafting, and reviewing project-related correspondence, and coordinating with external agencies, including the Maryland State Highway Administration, Maryland Department of the Environment, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, and city/county agencies. Participating in public meetings and hearings. Investigating and responding to inquiries, information
requests, and engineering-related public concerns. Coordinating and managing multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
CORE REQUIREMENTS: To excel in this role, candidates must possess: A bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering 5+ years of experience in water/sewer pipeline and pumping station designs Knowledge of local water and sewer design requirements and codes Strong project management, written, and verbal communication skills U. S. citizenship or Green Card immigration resident status in the United States A professional engineer (PE) license and a background in performing design reviews on public agency projects in Maryland is desired but not required.
