The ideal candidate will hold a degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering, or possess other engineering disciplines coupled with significant patent experience in medical devices and/or mechanical products. Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is a prerequisite for this role.
Duties: Conduct patent searches and analyses to backss the patentability of inventions in the medical devices and mechanical engineering domains. Collaborate with inventors and attorneys to draft high-quality patent applications. Prosecute patent applications before the USPTO, including responding to office actions and participating in examiner
interviews. Provide strategic counseling to clients regarding patent portfolio development and management. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in biomedical or mechanical engineering (or related engineering discipline).3+ years of relevant patent preparation and prosecution experience.
