the Manager, Energy Efficiency Implementation Support in Energy Efficiency Implementation. This position will be classified as Mobile with primary work location as home, but may work at or visit a facility, based on business need.
This position will be involved with providing back-office support for the Energy Efficiency Implementation and Compliance and Reporting groups, budget and forecast management, cost collection, internal and external cost reporting, regulatory financial reporting and additional financial support as requested. The analyst will also design, implement and maintain processes, procedures and controls associated with Energy Efficiency Implementation Support functions
This position will be both challenging and rewarding due to its involvement with the individual projects associated with Energy Efficiency (EE).
It will provide assistance to the Program Implementation Managers while they oversee their portfolio of EE programs. Responsibilities Include: Actively participate in and promote the First Energy safety philosophy, work safely to advance the First Energy safety vision, and follow safe work practices. Serve as department SME (Subject Matter Expert) for program accounting. Serve as department SME for cost collection and reporting including use of Qlik View. Serve as department SME for program budgets and forecasts, including entry into UIPlanner.
Develop and maintain project performance reports and financial analytics that provide business intelligence for decision-making. Creation and manipulation of complex worksheets in Microsoft Office Excel for analytical analysis. Fluency with software systems such as Share Point, Qlikview, Planner Dash. Perform control activities as defined or to be defined for this position. Prepare financials for state regulatory reports. Research and develop responses for regulatory data requests, and regulatory or Company financial audits. Serve as support liaison with Energy Efficiency Program vendors for file transfers, account information, and data reconciliation.
Provide back-office support for customer records reconciliation. Identify and participate in the analysis of cost savings and efficiency opportunities related to Energy Efficiency Implementation Support processes and procedures. Build and foster strong communication and relationships with Energy Efficiency staff and leadership. Develop and maintain procedures that establish or improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Energy Efficiency. Support other Company initiatives as requested.
Qualifications include: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline, with a minimum of 7 years of professional work experience required. In lieu of a degree, 10 years of direct, related experience will be considered. This experience must be at a professional (exempt) level which also includes data reporting, analysis, costing and recommendations, along with an in-depth understanding of the subject matter. Effective interpersonal communication skills to aid in working across the organization. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Power Point Knowledge of and use with Qlikview, Share Point, and SAP experience is required.
