Service Engineer on our commercial vehicle Advanced Powertrain and EV Systems engineering team at our Maumee, OH, Novi, MI or Laval QC office. The service engineer will perform a critical role in defining, developing, and executing field service support for Electrified Powertrains battery electric and alternative energy vehicles. This role can include field diagnostics, upgrade, repair, software re-flashing, calibration, and performance

testing. This role will have an immediate cross functional impact on the development and maintenance of electrified drivelines and integrated electrified solutions in Dana’s commercial vehicle business unit.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Field support for customer issues including: issue identification, documentation, root cause, repair and corrective action for the identified issue while supporting a positive impression of Dana throughout the process. Work with Dana global team to define and develop vehicle system tests, vehicle maintenance schedules, and vehicle repair procedures that minimize customer down time. Utilize various vehicle diagnostic tools to isolate issue including

in vehicle GUI, CAN data loggers and other test equipment. Perform vehicle software updates, verification of the updates and vehicle calibration as required at customer locations.

Develop and utilize Safe work processes and procedures to test and service High Voltage electrical systems. Provided technical interface between OEMs and end customers and company engineering, manufacturing and program management. Provide onsite support for new product development, product trial and testing. Work as an interface between Dana and up fitters to identify the correct implementation of features and functions on the vehicle. Documentation of customer issues, corrective actions, logs, and reports; including closure of lessons learned Identify potential new product needs based on Up Fitters and Field experience.

Engage with customer engineering community, representing Dana in a positive, ethical, and professional manner that leaves the customer delighted. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS Four-year Engineering, physics, or technical degree 5+ years of experience in automotive or commercial vehicle industry Experienced in High voltage safety, lock out / tag out procedures Experienced in electrical and mechanical testing and repair Vector or other relevant CAN analysis tools Experience with Parker IQAN tool chain a PLUS Knowledge of J1939 and CAN diagnostics Knowledge of EMI/EMC troubleshooting methods a PLUS Working knowledge of the fundamentals in electric vehicle drive components and energy storage system, BMS, Inverters, Battery, Charger, DC/DC Experienced in development of diagnostic test plans and test procedures based on technical specifications at component, system, and vehicle level Execution of system and vehicle level tests, design issues detection during testing and provide design improvement feedback to design teams SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Electrical debugging including using meters, scopes, and other diagnostic tools as available.

Mechanical disassembly and assembly Problem solving techniques including 5D or 8D processes Able to make decisions independently with appropriate level of consultation/communication.
