The Senior Test Engineer will work as part of the cross-functional team to integrate, maintain, troubleshoot and reduce no defect found/false failures from our assembly test systems. The test engineer will provide test support at startup and respond to daily test equipment issues that cause lost starts. The focus of this role is to create a world class final assembly

test system Position Senior Test Engineer - Assembly Location USA, La Fayette, GA How You'll Create Possibilities Lead/own assembly, test equipment with a focus on improvement of test-related aspects of factory production and efficiency metrics (schedule achievement, yield, productivity) Support voice of the customer (both production assembly and end user) in the development and implementation of new and improved test methods to support growth, new model introduction (NPI), continuous improvement and improve outgoing quality.

Lead the development of Poke-Yoke methods for testing. Develop both standard work and workstation aids to assist in operator training and operation consistency to

improve quality yields. Own the functional test procedures (FTP's) for all lines/all models.

Update and improve as process improvements are identified. Monitor data streams for product conformity and update test systems as required. Develop and lead continuous improvement projects focused on waste elimination, predictive maintenance, and downtime reduction. This includes projection of needs across business cycles for growth and sustainability. Provide first response/support for production related issues surrounding test equipment. Ownership for the calibration and preventive maintenance of the test equipment. Reduce/eliminate the number of false failures/no defect found from our test equipment.

Analyze test failures and work with process improvement engineers (PIE's) and area repair operators to determine if the root cause of the failure is due to part assembly, design, test method, etc. and then own corrective actions. What You'll Bring to Our Team Bachelor's or better in Electrical Engineering or Engineering degree with test system experience. Demonstrated success in scoping, leading, and implementing projects supporting NPI, Continuous Improvement and System Sustainability. Proven ability to influence others and drive change. Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor communications between an operational environment and business leadership.

Computer literate and skilled in MS Office, Minitab, structure query language (SQL), C# and Windows. Statistically proficient (Minitab, Mathematica, etc. ) in characterizing delivered test processes, equipment capabilities and the business acumen to relay the financial business impact. Working knowledge of software programming (C#, Java, Python, C++, VB) and distributed architectural structures (server, client, security, web reporting) Hands on experience in SQL or Oracle databases. Strong shop floor/manufacturing experience and comfort level.

Demonstrated successful experience (2-5 years) in troubleshooting and supporting manufacturing test equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLC's) and controls. Ability to interpret, analyzed and update test coding and protocol for product performance (Examples: wattage, resistance, hipot, ground bond, gas leak and flow rates, etc. ). 5+ years of plant/ high volume manufacturing experience with test equipment. Knowledge of Appliances manufacturing processes and/or similar high-volume assembly processes. Experienced in designing and sustaining, SQL, Amazon web services (AWS) or Oracle databases.

Working knowledge of various instrumentation technologies: electrical, fluid and visual. Quality individual and/or Quality leadership experience (SPC, trend analysis, root cause, poke-yoke). Significant experience in implementing Lean process improvements in assembly operations. Familiarity with regulatory range product governing bodies (UL, AGA, ANSI, ISO, EHS standards, etc. ).
