The Manager for the Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) is a leader of an engineering organization that employs multi-disciplined engineering resources, tools, and processes to support the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of electrical

ground support equipment hardware and software development required for spacecraft Testing, procedures and strategies for products, systems, components, or modifications.

The Manager of EGSE reports to and works alongside the Deputy of Electrical/RF Engineering and is a key member of the Engineering leadership team, working side-by-side with Operations, and Program and Business Area Managers. Candidates for this position must have a proven track record in leading engineering organizations and have a breadth of experience that includes technical leadership and project management, as well as broad technical exposure to the design, production and testing of complex electrical systems and

avionics solutions. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The selected candidate for this position will responsible and accountable to the following: Responsible and accountable for all projects assigned to the organizational group.

Advisor to lower-level managers and exempt employees. Helps meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problems. Typically accomplishes results through lower level(s) of management or exempt employees. Responsible and accountable for employee performance and adherence to Northrop Grumman ethics and values Responsible and accountable for Proposal Development which includes the review and approval of Technical, Cost, and schedule baselines.

Actively participates in Engineering Review Boards (ERBs) and Change Control Boards (CCBs) Technical Subject Matter Expert and Review Chairperson for Technical Peer Reviews Responsible for maintaining Lessons Learned and implementing appropriate Corrective and Preventative Actions. Defines methods for measuring the effectiveness of the associated actions. IRAD Management Assist the Director by providing direction and leadership to the EGSE directorate with ultimate responsibility for: Working with lower level managers to support hardware and software EGSE staffing for programs Employee Allocation, Utilization Planning, and Assignments Recruiting and Employee Retention Training Career Development and Professional Growth Personnel Communications Software Tools, Computers Performance Evaluations Salary Management Proposal Support, Review and Approval Overhead and Capital Budget Management Strategic Planning Risk Management Technical Standards and Engineering Processes Increase Product Line Competitiveness through innovative and paradigm changing solutions in technology, cost, schedule, and mission designs.

Basic Qualifications Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience as a technical leader or manager of a significant electrical engineering effort or function Experience managing lower level managers Bachelor of Science in Engineering or STEM degree with 10 years of digital/analog electronics design or systems architecture and development experience Industry experience, leading or managing both Software and/or Hardware Technical Development teams.

Candidates must understand electronics testing methods while possessing knowledge of industry wide tests and tests equipment at a high level Ability to effectively lead, train, mentor and develop Engineering professionals in all career phases.

Demonstrated ability to successfully manage and oversee projects within cost, schedule and technical baselines and possess a working knowledge of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Ability to gather data from multiple sources and summarize key issues at the executive-level. Preferred Qualifications Possesses strong leadership skills, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Ability to develop detailed cost and schedule estimates for proposals and associated Basis of Estimate Ability to motivate and inspire others. Ability to think creatively and encourage innovation.

Highly skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective action plans. Ability to build diverse and inclusive high performing teams. Demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with company senior management and internal stakeholders. Willingness to take ownership, ability to engage team and meet business commitments. Link: /benefits Salary Range: $180,600 - $271,000The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
