The Strategy Director of Industrial Engineering will lead the development of our global strategy including Lean methodology and Design to Value ensuring we have a multi-year productivity pipeline. This role will serve as a key change agent to advocate, model, and promote a continuous improvement culture, through the leading and executing of key Operational Excellence projects. Operations Director of Industrial Engineering to ensure we deploy internal capabilities in the most efficient ways to drive value and support corporate objectives.
This role can be based in RI or remote in the U. S. A day in the life of an Industrial Engineer Director: Responsible for creating and communicating the strategy for the lean transformation within Supply Chain organization and with internal stakeholders. Create and deliver practical, hands-on training in Lean methodology and tools to eliminate waste in manufacturing and design functions. Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to integrate Lean principles into the supply chain and ensure a holistic approach to operational
improvement. Lead, mentor, and guide cross-functional teams to implement Lean methodologies, tools, and practices to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Collaborate closely with senior leadership to establish Lean goals, KPIs, and performance metrics, and regularly report progress and results. What you’ll bring: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Extensive experience (8+ years) in Lean process improvement, preferably within a global manufacturing, consumer goods environment. Thorough understanding and execution of lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Just-In-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, Five S’s, Visual Management, Total Productive Maintenance, Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, SPC, Six Sigma and Communication Tools, Statistical Problem Solving.
Demonstrated success leading Kaizen events within a manufacturing environment, as well as having participated in numerous other Kaizen events preferably in manufacturing/operations, logistics and office areas. Business acumen and working knowledge of financial measurements and goals in the Lean enterprise. Demonstrated success in leading, developing, implementing, and or improving a Lean enterprise or an Operational Excellence organization/team.
