Job Overview The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a full-time, Represented Adjunct faculty position in the Biology Department beginning August 15, 2024. This is a Represented Adjunct faculty position
at either the Instructor or Assistant Professor level (rank commensurate with credentials). It is a non-tenure track, contract renewable position with teaching (80%) and departmental service (6%) responsibilities equal to 86% full-time equivalent (FTE).
Initial contract length is 3 years, with subsequent reappointments ranging from two to five years. This position is anticipated to be long-term and includes representation by the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) bargaining unit and contracted benefits. Essential Functions Teach an average of 12 contact hours per semester of lecture and/or laboratory classes in the Fall and Spring semesters. The primary content area
for this position is human anatomy and physiology and/or introductory biology for majors and non-majors.
Depending on their expertise, the successful candidate may be asked to teach courses in either of these areas. Will be expected to participate in governance and committee work of the department such as, but not limited to attendance at committee meetings. Minimum Requirements All of the following are required prior to effective appointment date: Master of Science degree in Biology or closely related field. One academic year of college-level teaching experience in biology or a related field.
