Creates age-appropriate lesson plans with developmentally appropriate activities and expectations that address learning styles, abilities, interests, behavior problems and student specific goals. Creates customized classroom activities by providing differentiated small and large group instruction. Establishes classroom routines to promote a positive environment conducive to effective instruction and developmentally appropriate experiences. Maintains accurate, complete and legible documentation.
Participates in school-wide events, scheduled meetings and parent- teacher conferences.
Works alongside parents and the ECC Administration in seeking resolutions to challenging behavior via formal and informal communication methods. PAY SCALE $18.00/hr - $20.00/hr dependent on qualifications PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Employees may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently. Qualifications: Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) through the Arizona Department of Education (ADE). Current IVP card (Identity Verified Prints) or the ability to obtain one.
Experience as a TVI case manager. Proficient in writing IEPs and providing specialized services to visually impaired students. Good references attesting to your teaching capabilities and interpersonal skills.
