Job Description: Campus Title: Instructor in Communication / Adjunct State Job Title: Instructor Department: Communications FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Funding: Contract Job Type: Part-time/ Temporary Timeframe: Spring 2024 Semester Shift: TBD Regular Days Off: N/A Supervision Received: Reports directly to the Chair of the Communications Department Supervision Exercised: None General Statement of Duties: The Communication Department at Westfield State University is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach a course in Broadcast Journalism for the Spring 2024 semester.

The course will focus on preparing students in writing and reporting the news for radio, television, and a variety of electronic media.

Instructor should be familiar with both online and legacy media. Instructor must have a Bachelor's degree in Communication or related field and a Masters is preferred.
