About the Position: The position supports the efforts of the Organizational Development and Learning team by providing training and organization development facilitation for faculty and staff.
Responsibilities: Provides training for faculty/staff to include, but not limited to: new hire orientations, supervisor and employee development, supervisor boot camp, emerging leaders' supervisor series, and a variety of administrative and professional staff learning opportunities. Designs and delivers e-learning products using modern learning technologies. Develops and
supports Communities of Practice for Mason Faculty and Staff. Serves as the HR point person/sponsor/thought partner to assist groups in support of career-pathing and succession planning initiatives.
Networks and builds relationships with Mason administrative professionals, HR Liaisons, academic advisors, and other career groups and gathers data through focus groups, surveys, and other tools. Collaborates with the Organizational Development and Learning team to identify organizational development needs to develop curricula, materials, and courses for faculty and staff learning opportunities. This includes consulting with units that have requested OD services from the team to identify
source of request and designing and appropriate OD tool to facilitate and meet their identified OD need.
May also include developing training opportunities and program management. Other duties as assigned that support the mission of the office. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field Entry level position with some experience in delivering training, facilitation, and classroom management required. Ability to facilitate delivery of material to diverse audiences. Ability to manage a classroom. Comfort with technologies and software to deliver training. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in higher education or human resources preferred. Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs, including new hire orientations, preferred. Knowledge of adult learning theory and experience facilitating training content for adults. Knowledge and experience working with Articulate or other e-learning design software to design meaningful asynchronous learning content. Knowledge of organization development practices.
