We are seeking a leader who can drive tax technology solution design, implementation, and operations in support our broader transactional processing application landscape.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have experience with design and implementation of tax technology solutions. We’re looking for a well-organized, process-oriented leader with the ability to build strong relationships across multiple business groups, to become a trusted-advisor in Bentley's critical

Responsibilities Partner with the tax, finance, and accounting teams to understand indirect tax requirements, challenges and determine solution options. Conduct backssments to identify tax technology solution options, with advantages and disadvantages, and make recommendations to business partners. Configuration of tax technology solutions, such as Workday ERP, tax engines (Vertex or Avalara), and digital platforms, to automate and streamline tax processes and controls. Develop,
test, and implement indirect tax solutions based on business requirements.
Collaborate across application teams to integrate tax solutions with other key transactional processing systems for a tightly integrated landscape. Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the entire organization and drive management methodologies with change champions in other teams. Foster a collaborative environment where differing perspectives are encouraged, acknowledged. Minimal travel is required in this role. Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements ). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, information technology, or a related field.
3+ years of relevant experience in indirect tax, tax technology, or a similar role. Strong knowledge and understanding of indirect tax concepts, principles, and practices. Proficiency in using tax technology solutions, such as ERP systems, tax engines, and digital platforms, to automate and streamline tax processes and controls. Strong communication and presentation skills: exceptional writing skills. Effective communication in written and verbal form. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines and pressure.
A proactive, flexible, and collaborative approach, with the willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges. A professional certification in tax, accounting, or information technology, such as CPA, CTA, or CISA, is a plus but not required.
