This position is primarily responsible for evaluating, backssing, and analyzing information regarding the Bureau’s programs and the county health department’s (CHDs) preparedness and response systems. Assists in the development of regional and CHD preparedness expectations; evaluates the expectations; reviews the expectation documentation; monitors work plans and quarterly reports and provides technical support to the CHDs.

Maintains databases and vulnerability and risk backssment tools; maintains data in MS Excel and other database software; applies advanced mathematical and statistical concepts for data analysis; monitors and reports

on jurisdictional risk and vulnerability backssments at the county, regional and state level. Develops and monitors the section’s data collection system: facilitates collection and analysis of information such as performance measurement data, operational backssments, progress reports and surveys of the CHDs.

Conducts plan reviews and reports, develop hazard risk reports to support the bureau, CHDs, regions, state and other sections; develop guides and technical assistance material. Manages projects related to CHD preparedness and support: provides information and create presentations and reports for stakeholders; maintains Share Point, and the section’s mailbox and calendar; maintains

information for strategic planning including the section’s deliverables, performance measures and reports, and prepares information for bureau’s leadership.

Facilitate trainings; attends, supports, facilitates and participates in emergency preparedness exercises. Participate in the Bureau of Preparedness & Response activities to provide input on local impacts and to maintains awareness of state-level activities in order to inform CHDs. Prepare to and serve as a state asset during public health and medical incidents, and during activations of the State Emergency Response Team and exercises. Maintain (at a minimum) the training courses as outlined in the DOH policy, Employee Development Plan (EDP) and position.
