procedures; 12-hour shifts and overnight shifts dependent on scheduling with convalescent care team. Requirements: Essential Job Responsibilities with demonstrated competency: · Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, sports medicine procedures, fractures and trauma, spineand other orthopedic procedures.

· backssment and Monitoring: Conduct thorough patient backssments, and monitor vital signs, observe postoperative conditions, and promptly addressing any changes or concerns in patients' health status. · Pain Management: Manage and backss pain levels, consulting with physicians and implementing appropriate

interventions and treatments to ensure patient comfort and recovery. · Wound Care: Perform dressing changes, wound backssments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure proper healing and prevention of infections.

· Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about postoperative care instructions, medications, rehabilitation exercises, and assistive devices to promote a smooth recovery process. · Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients. · Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting backssments, interventions,

and outcomes in compliance with regulatory standards.

· Safety and Compliance: Adhere to established protocols, infection control measures, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients and staff. · Support: Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families, fostering a caring and empathetic environment during the recovery phase. Education/Experience: · Associate degree (A. A. ) or equivalent from two-year accredited School of Nursing or Diploma program · Baccalaureate degree (B. S. ) from four-year accredited School of Nursing, preferred · Current license from State Board of Nursing · Current BCLS certification · Current ACLS certification (to administer Moderate Sedation) · Advanced knowledge in critical thinking, and applied critical care nursing practice · Specialized knowledge, skill and abilities in empirical & practical perioperative nursing.
