and accounting products and services to clients and eligible prospects. Essential Functions: Performs tax projections and works with clients to develop strategic tax plans in accordance with Compeer policies and procedures and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) code requirements.
Provides tax and accounting consulting services on a wide range of issues affecting clients. Prepares income tax returns for individual, partnership and corporate clients. Recognizes and matches Compeer products based on client needs. Prepares payroll tax, 1099, W2 and related forms and reports. Collects on delinquent client accounts. Establishes and maintains strong client relationships. Maintains trial balance,
general ledger and fixed asset schedules for internal and non-accounting clients. Assists clients with questions regarding accounting processes, records and outcomes using Quick Books Software.
Provides technical tax and accounting expertise to team members and clients when questions arise. Advises local peer group members on tax law changes and the affects to client businesses. Participates in the development and presentation of ongoing educational programs for Compeer team members and clients regarding tax and accounting services. Assists Compeer team members on client visits and at agriculture or community events to develop knowledge in all Compeer products and services. Minimum Qualifications
& Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Bachelor's degree in accounting o r related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
3+ years of experience in tax planning and preparation. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required. Ability to earn certification by passing the Farm Credit Services Tax Exam within two attempts. Knowledge of federal and state laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit. Ability to communicate Compeer's " value added" business and financial concepts to attract new prospects.
Solid knowledge of tax and accounting products and services. Solid knowledge of tax and accounting policies and procedures. Experience in planning and preparation of farm taxes preferred. Listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. Exercises a high level of ethical and professional judgement. Skill in developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships. Ability to give presentations one-on-one or to a group. High level of integrity. Problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
Computer skills, including MS Office applications and tax and accounting software. Analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to work evenings and weekends from November to May in order to meet deadlines and client expectations. Ability to grow client portfolio. Valid driver's license. Who is Compeer Financial? care team working in the service of breastfeeding families. Provides consultation with advanced clinical expertise in the field of human lactation through backssment, education, and resourcing.
Supports the initiation and continuation of the mothers desired breastfeeding experience. Functions within professional and hospital standards. How You'll Do It: Nursing Process: Applies principles of growth and development in obtaining backssment and in consultative care. Therapeutic and individualized communication with families and in provision of care. Acts within scope of role. Indicates plan of care in the electronic health record. Care Management: Collaborates with providers for optimal
nutrition of infant and advocates on behalf of families in the provision of human milk.
Assists in the management of high risk/complicated infant nutritional needs. Works in partnership with ancillary team members in the proper nutritional provision of the infant/child. Supports and facilitates the function of centralized milk preparation with the family. Discharge Planning: backsses need of family for discharge and coordinates services in support of breastfeeding prior to discharge. Works in partnership with ICM for lactation home needs. Teaching: Supports staff, inpatient, and community education as representative of CHW Lactation Service. Advocates for the promotion of breastfeeding.
Provides for continuing education in partnership with educational services. Assists in the education of lactation staff and in RN orientation. Professional Development: Maintains credentialing as defined by the certifying board. Pursues continuing education relevant to lactation consultant practice. Maintains membership in lactation related professional organization. Research: Supports and collaborates with nurse researchers and physician researchers in the field of lactation. Serves as clinical expert in the science and evidence based practice of lactation.
Organizational Responsibility: Collaborates with PCM on service goals, and supports the service through active participation in goal outcomes. Maintains working relationships with in the health system and assists in alignment of key areas of provision. Maintains working relationships within the community and with community providers. Follows aseptic technique as well as hospital infection control policies regarding feeding handling. Wears proper protective equipment (hair covers, gloves, masks, and gowns). Requirements Graduate of accredited school of nursing with a BSN. (RN staff hired prior to with ADN are grandfathered) A current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Wisconsin.
Two years experience required in maternal/child, pediatric or NICU setting. Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required. Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification or Certified Lactation Consultant/Certified Lactation Educator (CLC/CLE) with IBCLC certification within one year of hire. Must maintain recertification within one year. Schedule Details : Part time.5 FTE.
Requires two 10 hour days per week 0700-1530 or 0900-1930. Weekend and holiday rotation that consists of two weekend shifts per 6 week schedule and one holiday per year.
