challenges: extreme temperatures, close quarters, and limited transportation.

But you've never been one to run from a challenge. Your years of carpentry experience plus your problem-solving abilities make you the perfect person to build and maintain structures at our field camp. A highly organized person, you plan out projects and create material lists. You also understand how to read drawings and build to specifications. From rough framing to finish carpentry, you know how to handle any task that comes your way. Throughout each project, you keep a careful log of the materials used so our inventory record is always up-to-date. Your construction talents aren't limited to woodworking.

You also assemble structural steel buildings, hang drywall, and install tile. As a flexible team player, you also assist with snow removal and erect and dismantle tents and portable buildings. WHAT WE'RE SEARCHING FOR IN A CARPENTER We're looking for an adaptable, positive person with the following qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent 4+ years of extensive carpentry experience, including rough framing and finish carpentry Ability to read plans and build to specifications Experience installing doors and windows Ability to design and build stairs and roofs Ability to work in extreme temperatures Willingness to drive a snowmobile and other polar vehicles Valid driver's license Experience with commercial or industrial facility construction is preferred but not required.

Metal stud framing, drywall hanging, and drywall finishing experience would be an asset. Experience with remote, cold environments would be beneficial.
