Youth Trainees QUALIFICATIONS: Five years verifiable hands-on construction experience/General Carpentry. High School diploma or GED. Must be able to relate to youth and minority groups and work well in a team setting. Must comply with training and certification requirements of licensing and regulatory agencies.

(First Aid and Restraint Training, etc. ) Must pass criminal history check. Have the ability to read blue prints. Ability to safely use and supervise the use of hand and power tools. The ability to lead trainee crews and supervise the Center work projects both on and off campus from start up to the completion of projects. SPECIFIC DUTIES: The ability to examine blueprints to determine

dimensions of structure. The ability to determine sequence of activities concerned with fabrication, assembly and erection of the structure. The ability to assign and supervise trainees to such tasks as cutting metal to size, building forms, erecting framework, roofing, wiring and pipe installation.

The ability to inspect work to insure conformance to specifications. The ability to assist in the transportation of the work crew to the job site. The ability to perform other duties as assigned.
