Ability to communicate and relate with youth and minority groups. Exhibit the ability to work well in a team setting by exhibiting leadership qualities.
Must comply with training and certification requirements of licensing and regulatory agencies. Exhibit the knowledge required to accurately read and interpret blue prints. Must exhibit the safe and proper use of hand and power tools and supervise the use of same by youth assigned to the Youth Build program. Must exhibit the characteristics necessary to
lead trainee crews and supervise center work projects both on and off campus from start up through to completion. Must pass pre-employment criminal history check Must pass a drug screen SPECIFIC DUTIES: Must possess and demonstrate the ability to Supervise/work all phases of construction.
Make accurate cost projections for each individual project Maintain accurate schedules of construction activities Examine blueprints to determine dimensions of structure Inspect work to ensure conformance to specifications Assist in the transportation of the work crew from the Center to the job site. Maintain accurate cost records associated with each individual structure and coinciding purchase orders
Generate payroll Maintain accurate paperwork pertaining to the Youth Build trainees.
