may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. This is a PERMANENT position with the Operations and Maintenance Division located at Fort Jackson, SC. Duties Repair and replace a variety of commercial and industrial heating and air conditioning and ventilation EMCS controls.
Operate and maintain EMCS controls on heating and air conditioning and ventilation systems to provide medium temperature water and chilled water and ventilation. Operate, Install, and perform maintenance and repair on all types of utility system controls, and on the Utility and Energy Monitoring and Control Systems. Operate equipment such as a laptop, i Pad, voltmeter, multimeter and other handheld communication
and detection devices to perform EMCS tasks. Skilled on various EMCS programs such as INET 7, TAC Vista, Honeywell, Structureware, Tridium Niagra, Lonworks and Bac Net protocol controls Test systems, circuits, equipment and controls to ensure proper and safe operation.
Recommend alternate methods in the repair of functionally independent electronic equipment. Monitor, maintain, repair or replace, install, set and reset Energy Management Control System (EMCS) controls for a variety of Heating, Ventilation, and Air conditioning (HVAC) systems; in order to monitor program trend data, modify, schedule , reset, analyze problems for variable frequency drive motors, air quality sensors, economizer control systems, pneumatic functions modules, network controllers, variable air volume controls, dampers, valve actuators, and digital input controllers for temperature, air and water flow status, configuration, and staging of HVAC systems.
I have a thorough knowledge of EMCS related controls , programs and their functions. Work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
Physical Efforts: Frequently lifts and carries objects weighing up to 75 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds, and heavier items with assistance of lifting equipment or other personnel. Requires considerable walking including the flights of stairs, climbing, standing on concrete floors, stooping, stretching, bending, sitting, kneeling, working from ladders, platforms, inside furnaces and tanks in cramped and awkward positions, in hard to reach places, using large wrenches and other heavy tools. Working Conditions : Subject to extreme temperature of high heat from boilers to cool work inside air conditioned buildings, and high noise level requiring protection.
Works inside boiler drums. Work may be hot, greasy, wet or cold. Is subject to cuts, bruises, and is exposed to danger of boiler explosion, high temperature leaks, electrical shock, falls, burns, hazardous chemicals, carbon monoxide poisoning, gas and oil fumes.
