As a member of the Electronics team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in performing customer non-conforming product evaluation test, troubleshooting and repairing field test failures as required. What do we want to know about you? An Associate's Degree or Certificate in Electronics Technology from a two-year college or technical school 2 years of related experience or training in the field or on the electronics bench Must have a thorough understanding of analog and digital circuits.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot to the component level. Passing score on the WABTEC Technician Test. Possess excellent soldering skills in both through hole and/or surface Digital Volt Meters. Knowledge of Frequency Counters, Spectrum Analyzers and all appropriate troubleshooting equipment What will your typical day look like? Diagnose problems using the correct test equipment. Troubleshoot to the component level.
Test to the unit level and PCB level. Interpret schematics and drawings. Perform modifications on a technical level. Work with minimum supervision. Computer knowledge and ability to type to complete forms electronically. What about the physical demands of the job? Must be able to walk and stand for 10 hours per day. Must be able to wear PPE for 10 hours per day. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs. You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
