This position is in the People Technology team responsible for our Capital One associate experience and will be leading our Engineering Excellence efforts focused on improving our engineering rigor and driving operational excellence across our large application footprint. As part of this role, you will develop strategies, capabilities, and accelerators to drive engineering rigor across our applications

and services and will own defining and maturing People Tech's SRE capability. - Additionally, you will work on emerging technologies such as: AWS, Java, Python, New Relic, Splunk, and Datadog, while also defining our reliability approach to our Saa S and vendor solutions.

You will: Lead one, or more, delivery teams and coach team through their career development and performance Develop the technical strategy, roadmap and vision for the capabilities that you own Work with product managers to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios - continuously improving software engineering practices Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and

support technical solutions across a full-stack development tools and technologies Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity Lead efforts to deploy new and existing applications into AWS environments Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree At least 7 years experience in software engineering or software development At least 5 years of experience leading, building, and driving adoption of key enterprise engineering capabilities (testing, performance, chaos engineering, automation, SRE) At least 3 years of experience in people management At least 5 years of experience with AWS At least 3 years of experience with Site/Service Reliability Engineering (SRE) -Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree 10+ years of experience in software engineering or software development 6+ years of experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP) - 5+ years of experience in Agile practices 3+ years of experience in modernizing technology stacks Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position.
