Core Responsibilities Lead the effort in management/support/design/development with our Sales/Order
Management system (SAP SD) and Global Trade (SAP GTS) needs for the Order Management/Fulfillment operations for both domestic and international.
Responsible for the management and work oversight of our key application service vendors in the Sales/Order management business areas in both domestic and international markets. Utilize project management skills to ensure OTC-SD work streams are properly identified and prioritized, resources utilized, timelines met and provide consistent status updates. Lead the OTC-SD Business and Functional IT groups regarding acquisition implementations, system enhancements upgrades and road mapping. Drive the Order-to-Cash & Sales/Distribution business processes, identify automation, improvements, and drive efficiency.
Identify efficiencies, recommend innovative, design, and implement solutions. Drive awareness training/skills development of the OTC-SD systems to other areas of IT and business departments. Oversee and provide direction on application maintenance, troubleshooting and support including corrections for production issues, recommendations for improvement and coordination with other IT Support groups for problem resolution. Partner with IT&T groups in Integration, e-Commerce and related technologies to provide effective OTC-SD solutions to serve Smithfield's consumer products growth strategy.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Minimum of 5+ years of SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) module experience. Experience with Global Trade Solutions/International Sales (SAP GTS) is also required. Knowledge SAP ABAP and EDI/IDOC expertise is also required. Experience with other ERP solutions (Ex: Oracle, JDE) is a plus. Experience in Meat, Food or other consumer product industries is strongly preferred. Strong background in problem determination/solution design.

Responsibilities: Process Systems Oversight - Provide oversight for all aspects of the processing systems for the Stuarts Draft plant. Work with the maintenance department to ensure that the correct asset reliability plans are in place for the processing equipment in the plants.
Work with the production departments to ensure that Process Operating Guides are accurate and up to date. Process Systems Optimization - Provide strong technical leadership and support to Plant Operational and Maintenance staff in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and optimization of existing processing systems.
Capital Project Management - Manage capital projects up to $1,000,000 in value for processing and facility improvement efforts at the Stuarts Draft plant. Responsible for developing manufacturing feasibility backssments, capital cost estimates, process system design, selecting equipment, preparing equipment and construction bid specifications, evaluating bids, overseeing installation and start-up of process equipment and systems, troubleshooting, and training of line supervisors, operators and maintenance personnel.
Process Documentation - Ensure that plant PFD's and P&ID's are accurate and up to date. Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
A combination of knowledge, experience, and proficiencies in process systems for the food or medical industries applicable to Hershey manufacturing processes, construction practices, standards and codes to support manufacturing and provide a competitive business advantage.
A combination of knowledge and experience in the design, specification, application, installation, startup and training of process and facility related capital projects.
